March 7-11, 2017 Sharkarosa Trip, CC Park Day & Friends Zoo Trip!!

It was Spring Break for part of our ward the 2nd week of March and a bunch of ladies posted about finding a groupon with a coupon deal to go to a local wildlife ranch.  We had never been before, and since the deal was hard to pass up, we were game and made a fun day trip out of it!! One of the perks of homeschooling and getting to take fun field trips together! :)

Here are some highlights from our day trip to Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch!

Oh look!! A baby camel!! So cute!! AND a snake....and even a Texan alligator and black bear!!

The kids each got a bag of animal food and at first were super nervous to hold their hands out there...those llamas were a little intimidating!! But, soon they figured out you could just drop the food into the side buckets of the tram, and that seemed to be the best, leave slobbery option! hehe :)

Never seen an albino camel before!!!
Remembering our wall hangings before our transition to getting our home ready to sell, and all our personal pictures had to come down.  :(

But amidst it all, at least we still had each other and fun memories to share through the whole house prepping, and re-organizing, deep cleaning, room-switching and decorating (as never done before, since we used to live in a small duplex) process!! It was so helpful and such a blessing to have such a helpful, hard-working and talented realtor in our ward!! She was such a blessing!

Later in the week, we had a Homeschool Co-op Playdate at a nearby park, see a tortoise, played with friends, AND then smothered hands in a backyard chalk-water-mixture hehe!! Lots of happy smiles there! Such a creative idea Katelyn!

Then, to our delightful surprise, some of our favorite people came to visit us from Arkansas!! We were so happy to have the Pezelys come to visit! Next time, we hope to catch Brandon too! Some of the greatest tresures in life are great friendships, and this friendship is one of those I will always treasure!! Not only did our parents grow up in the same remote town in Driggs, ID, but we all love to play board and card games for fun even though it can get pretty intense haha!  Saying were all competitive might be an understatement...haha..or at least some of them...;)  But we still love this family and were so excited to spend a night and day together! We explored the Dallas Zoo and shared some fun memories together! Loved seeing our kids become friends!! Such an adorable family!

Love these smiles! So wonderful to be with our friends again!
