Feb 17-25, 2017 Homeschool Zoo Trip & Sprained Ankle Surprise!

We had our first home-school co-op field trip of the year to the zoo! Hooray!! Miss June-bug insisted on riding her favorite, cheetah, and Josh was not the biggest fan of the up and down movement of the horse he was riding for the first time. I guess we gotta start somewhere! ;)

These three have a ball spinning the nest around for the ride and climbing on the elephants super high too!

This was our first time seeing the koalas! We learned the babies when they first come out of their mom are only the size of a jellybean! How crazy is that!

Love these cute girlies who are the best of friends.
These two loved watching the lizards walok in their tanks.  Josh was taken aback at first, but then liked following it around and gasping "OOOOOOOOOOOahhhhhh" "WOOOOOOAA" while ponting his finger at it too.  Love the way he is expressing himself more and more these days!

Favorite part of all = Waterpark at the end!!! They love splashing and playing in the water! What a great big sister to help lil' brother stay safe!

So, the very next day....we went to the park after finishing up a lot of schoolwork, at impressive motivational speed, this lovely occurence happened....

Let's just say this is not how I expected our afternoon visit to the park to end...😳😩 #thebigboot But I guess it's what I get when I tried to jump and reach super high to get miss K during an intense game of tag and came down wrong on my ankle. 😝😜Even though I did hear a loud snap, I am so thankful it turned out to only be a severe grade 5 (out of 5) ankle sprain instead of a break requiring surgery. On the bright side, at least now my kiddos will get to step up and help out some more while I am slightly debilitated for a bit and healing. I am so thankful Jon was home so he could come rescue me! Now we're just hoping for a speedy recovery!! Guess this is what happens when I pray for opportunities to grow and serve in our family. 😉☺️#notmyfavoritewaytoendtheday #butstillcountmyblessings!#sothankfulforallthehelp :) #thankfulforHistendermercies#thiswilljustmakeusstronger
#illtaketheextrasnuggletime!!😊😉😃

Katelyn was so sweet this week! She has been working on trying to be more kind and loving to others.  So, she decided to try being kinder to her cousin Emeri, by planning a tea party for the girls and inviting her to come! Thankfully, our cousins were able to come over that night and the girls tea-partied away! So thankful for this thoughtful girl in our lives.  We love you miss K and your creative, thoughtful, determined nature to do what is right!
