November 2017 Katelyn's 8th Birthday!!

We celebrated Katelyn's BIG 8 is GREAT BiRThDaY with sprinkle donuts, pumpkin waffles with ice cream on top (THIS is an extra special treat...based on Ralph family waffle/pancake traditions, lol hehe) and we venured to a local discovery children's museum and awesome park with cousins too! Some of Katelyn's favorite parts were the donuts, building awesome forts, making bubble tubes, playing on the playground and being with her family!! We are so thankful for this determined, hard-working, persistent, thoughtful, loving, helpful, smart, goofy, talented, faithful and strong, sweet girl in our lives!! What a joy it has been to have become parents with this sweet first child to our family and watch her learn, grow, develop confidence and talents, and watch her energetic and fun personality blossom! We sure love you Kakey girl and are so thankful for the light, love, helpfulness and smile you bring to our days!! You have an excitement for learning, creating, climbing, overcoming any challenge and adventurous spirit, with the Lord on your side, you will be able to accomplish anything!

Here are some of the sweet moments and HiGhLiGhTS we've shared with our sweet Katelyn in our lives over the years!

Here are the birthday day activities!!!

Katelyn's choice of dinner: Chips and Chili/Taco Salad

Yay for being together!

Love that smile and at least that cake TASTED yummy! lol.  I'm pretty sure we tried for a vanilla cake, but it somehow didn't come out of the pan properly, AND I MUST have frosted it while it was still too warm..OR didn't add enough powdered sugar to the frosting....haha....whoops....SO there we had a somewhat runny frosted birthday cake, hooray! It's thr thought and effort that counts right!!??  Sure love you Katelyn!

First scripture marking pencil, woo hoo! These are some of my and Jon's scripture study tools!!  Daddy used to buy them for me when we were dating, and I JUST LOVED them! He used them on his mission and I was so thankful he shared of their greatnes with me!! Hooray for studying scriptures by topic and marking important and meaningful verses!! LOVE her excitement for them..hehe! Just like Momma ;).

I spent quite a few months preparing Katelyn's Baptism Book, documenting pictures and special events from her life from birth all the way up to her eighth year! You are one SPECIAL girl Katelyn, I hope you will always treasure the memories of our family life these past 8 years, like we will, and hope this helps you REMEMBER them! :)

Super fun pillowcase to color from Grandma Susan and Grandpa Terry and a beautiful princess tiara to go with it! Perfect for this princess on her birthday!

Finishing off her special day with a game of Skipbo! We sure love family games!

Happy 8th Birthday to Katelyn!!
